Allow me to introduce myself…
One of Jesus’ Kids. Made his earthly debut in the summer of ‘83. A military brat brought up on video games, music, sports and wwf(e). Having a life long diet equivalent to that of a cross between a Ninja Turtle and Luther Vandross, the husky physique has long been a trademark to the Mike appearance. His educational years saw a struggle with less than stellar report cards and poor citizenship. The grades became “honor roll” material by the 4th grade on through college, though behavior remained a mixed bag of merits and praise, to Saturday schools and suspensions. Needless to say he found the delicate balance and got his act together. All this while riding the many waves of popular trends and fads of the time in order to maintain a decent status of “funky fresh”. Whether it was the tackiest Samoan stretchy pants, cross colors clothing that would make Jamaica cringe, a mullet that Wayne Gretzky would be proud of, the phattest slammer for the pog collection, the electronic wild farm of Tomagotchi giga pet keychains, aggressive inline skating, the latest Booty Bass music compilation CD, and let us not for get the unforgiveable Orange fleece coupled with bungie tech-pants (oh you’re soo 2001), Mike was there. His career achievements include professional ice cream mixer (Holy Cow Creamery) , Target Rent-a-Cop, 2-time BYB (Back Yard Brawlerz) Champion, Digital Printing Prepress Specialist, and Graphic Designer. He dabbled with rock star playing bass guitar in bands such as Irony Tree, Under Suspicion, Goodbye Orleans and Trauma. But found music’s true calling in Worship. Currently residing in the M-town, you can find Mike continuing to live it up, courting the “someday soon wifey”, working at the work, Churching at the Church, PWNING suckas on xbox live, and sleeping. “A life (work) in progress…” is how he best describes his 24 years young existence so far. Chock full of unfinished projects, unpaid debts and unmet goals, but theirin lies the parts of what keeps life interesting and worth living. The experience, and the people you meet along the way who help you find ends to your whole-hearted means. All the while making sure not to miss an even bigger picture… a purpose, a plan and a God that loves even him. And hopefully he will cease to write short bios in the third person narrative starting…..NOW!
